Call me negative. Call me realistic. Or withhold your own judgment till you read more.

I feel like a veteran who has become long sensitized to any form of tragedy that makes itself aware in this world. In a way, I have become unfazed by this tragedy, but it only makes sense because of the regaular doses of it I receive from t.v., personal experiences, friends, over hearing conversations, etc, etc.

Don't be weak is what one should to say themselves. Ok, ok, I'm engulefed in negative, tragic things on the regular it seems at times, and it does pay it's toll on one's mentality and spirit, sure. The bad, is something to think about though. It should make you want to react by DOING GOOD. We humans, need to try as a minimum to balance the bad and good. Don't rip out a scale or anything in your personal life of the good and bad you've done. Just do what you can to your utmost to be rightous, and feel good about it. If we can, make an un-equilibrium by having things more positive and prosperous than their counterparts.

It's sad though in a sense to become sensitized to so many various types of sad stories, events, etc, etc. Becoming sensitized to such a thing is a very, very bad sign. You are used to absorbing on a pretty regualar frequency, negative information. That is not healthy. It can be if what your mind being fed directly or indirectly affects your emotions thereafter.

I'm a nice guy. I try to do good in any way to define what goodness is. I'm not perfect though of course. I make mistakes and do wrong doing like anyone else at any point of time in ones life. I am aware that my goodness, can be taken for a sign of weakness. But still, doing good is what makes me feel good, and is what counts as a moral being. I want to contribute to the equilibrium of good compared to the bad, and hopefully make things lead more on the positive aspect.

Think about your wrong doings, your bad habits, negative memories & information you absorb, and try and counter it the best you can to self-satisfy the soul and others. It will make a change, one person at a time.

Remember too that the little adds up quicker than it seems at times. Sometimes for the better.

Goodnight Existence

Goodnight diversified world.
I have lived to experience another day.
A day in this life which contains so many seeming endless experiences.
I feel fortunate to be able to be alive in a sense to witness what life is about.

So many things come across my path in my life time.
Experiences, success, failure, emotions galore and more.
I hope that a new day very soon will be the start of a better day for all life.
I want to see things grow within and around me.

WOW. He said to me around a certain holiday how he found it sad that families go out to restaurants for holidays instead of eating at home.

I totally agreed with the guy. Restaurants capitalize on a holidays where families are/should be close. I'm not mentioning by the way that families should be close and be together only around holidays. Not at all. Just to clear that potential thought out of your head. And yes, family can still be close at a restaurant, no doubt. But still, I find it much more intimate, personal, and meaningfull to be at home to celebrate a holiday or to just enjoy the rare moment much family is together under the same roof.

What's better than to socially profitise on an intimate family time at home during a holiday? It just seems much more "personal" at home than at a restaurant. It translates sorta like, quality over profit. I like home made stuff. It's from the heart. Home made is a scene not looking for a buck somewhere along the lines. It's only about interpersonal relationships, love, expression, discovery, good times, and lastly with maybe celebration somehwhere.

Trust Just Ran Out the Door

It's hard to trust people these days. Nothing new. It's just another reason why I feel like I can't even live in this world.

I place a high value on trust in my moral book, and so should you if you haven't done so. It's not too late. One of the many reasons why I place a high value on trust is partly because trust is something that is in a major defecit these days it seems. I want to focus on this reason though. It's all around you. Who can you trust? A lot of people everywhere have failed us in their words and intentions. Friends, lovers, family, government, employers, business commitees, strangers, information sources, etc, etc. No one's perfect though, I know. But still, I find the frequency of lies and theft is much more elevated these days than back in the day, and is not a good cop out to support the " no one's perfect " catch phrase . How disturbing for the mind & soul. AHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhh. Horrifying. We've sunk to a new low. Maybe not.

I've got a good feeling too that security has become a good portion of the business market. Look at how many businesses make products and provide services to haul back a sense of security to one's self. Locks of all kinds, surveillance systems, programmers that create security programming codes for websites to indidviduals and businesses, home security systems, fingerprinting identification, retenal eye scans, special equipment to make things extremely hard to duplicate (special documents, bus passes, money, etc) , etc, etc, ETC.

I would so much prefer no employment or extremely little employment in the domain of security, so that we humans can feel safe & secure without having to pay for prodcucts and/or services to feel safe, secure, and that we can believe without having an 238 question interview. Where did we go wrong?

I belive that so many factors have corrupted us to make us liars and thiefs. Drugs, bad influencial friends, parents who never seemed to care, abusive parents, poverty, music, t.v., movies, engulfed in a violent upbringing, materialism, trends, sicknesses, etc. Certain cases could be more pardonable than others. I'm now thinking of this band I like a lot and this line that strikes an emotional chord in me. They scream in part of the song, " poverty is the worst form of violence". When you are born into a world where poverty is around you and your parents are poor, you could quite easily resort to a life of crime. It's sad. What if, you don't have the money for school? What if your parents don't have much money to put food on the table? What if they had enough to put you in school but not much money left over for food and other important things, and you found yourself hungry quite often? Going to school hungry doesn't make the greatest of a student. You are likely to accumulate bad grades. Well guess what, according to the system, you lose!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sad isn't it. But wait teacher, I can't seem to focus and remember because I'm so hungry both here in school and at home. It's rare that a student will adress such a reason why they perform poorly in their classes to their teacher(s).

It seems these days the only way to gain trust, is to get to know someone through quite a bit of time. Even then, there could be still sufficient room for doubt. It's sad though still.

Generation insecure is here ladies & gentlemen weather you like it or not. Choose who to trust wisely. Keep trying to live safe, happy, and prosperous. I encourage everyone to practice the way of honesty and kindness no matter how difficult it may be in one's situation. Please try.

Captivity=Cruelty

The picture you see, is an aquarium of turtles in my home, and I don't like the picture. It is really un-natural and wrong to have animals as pets I find. In this particular case these turtles are our pets which are constrained in a glass aquarium. Poor things. They're stuck in there till they die.

They truly belong in their natural environment. Not to be sold at a pet store for a price plus tax. They don't deserve to be restrained in an aquarium where they will stay confined just so that they can serve the wants of their so called owner.

If the turtles could reason and speak to us, they would say probably something like," hey you idiots, what did we do to you for us to be stuck in this restricted space for the rest of our lifes " ? The thing is though, we don't need to speak turtle language to know that they are better off free to roam in a real natural environment that they would like to reside in. But of course, we humans don't care too much it seems, and don't think too much about how the turtles feel because we sell them to live in simulated natural environments within our homes. We serve our interests and disregard other species interests. Good going, keep up the progress. How non intelligent and egotistical. It is sad that humans are considered the smartest of species, because a lot of shit we do lacks logic. Animals it seems have become in a twisted sense in humans mindframe a way to make money, and to keep them in our homes instead of their homes (habitat) as companions.

These turtles had it worse off before in OUR home. They used to be in a smaller aquarium where at a certain point, they became hostile with eachother. But since we noticed the situation and looked into it, we have provided them with a larger aquarium where the agressiveness amonst the certain few ceased, and they grew in size.

Now, imagine if they were never even sold at a pet store. No stress of being captured by humans. No stress, misery and hostility of living in a small space.

Boycott petstores. Animals belong in their natural environment. Not in cages, aquariums, and other un-natural areas. Common people. Have a heart and wise up.

A Halloween Show & Tell

Here's my Pumpkin I carved in a bit of a rush. This is an EEEEEVUUUUUUL pumpkin I carved that has horns that you can't see. I did it in about 15-20 minutes.

For the past quite a few years I have made myself responsible for the pumpkin carving around the house. I always seemed to like doing so, and always came up with great ideas. I gave myself praise for my carvings over the years, my parents as well as trick or treaters.

I hope you all have enjoyable memories of Halloween experiences today. I know I have. As a youthfull trick or treater it was more about costumes, getting bundles of candy and smashing a lot of pumpkins. It's interesting with the passing of time how things can seem to work in reverse. Now I don't dress up, give out candy and carve pumpkins. Is that lame or what? LOL. To the memories.

What Happened to the Land (Nature) ?

I had an interesting experience that occured just recently that I would like to share. It was a very symbolical experience which in a sense makes the experience quite interesting. What I had witnessed is nothing new to me, but I would like to share the experience and my thoughts all the same. The story is as follows.

I was on my way back home when I decided to make a stop at a new Future Shop store that recently re-located for expansion purposes I imagine. The approximate location of this store is in an area where there was once a department store called Bonimart. This was a huge department store which had an even more huge parking lot to accompany it. They go hand in hand of course unfortunately. Then when Bonimart went out of business, a Super Mercado took their place. That was then.

Now the area has expanded and there are several major commercial business in the area. These major businesses include big corporate names such as Future Shop, Best Buy, Reno Depot, IGA, and Crispy Creme. The way the stores where situated was quite simple, but in a formation I don't see too often. They were set up in a way like a square, and they all shared in the centre of them all a gigantic parking lot. It was just so commercial in set up ( large parking lot surrounded by several huge, major stores). I didn't like the sight too much. Smelt like money, greed, inequality, pollution and more.

So here I was in an area I don't go to by too often, on my way to check out stuff at Future Shop. I was quite surprised in a sense to see how huge the future shop was. It is a major store name, and it only makes sense that in quite a few cases, the store size is quite proportional with it's success from selling, selling, and well... selling. It's the largest Future Shop I've seen to date. The other Future Shops were all quite large, but this one takes the cake on size.

So in I go to Future Shop to do some future shopping. I come out, and then go to unlock my bike. As I approach my bike, I see a dead bird lying exactly at the corner of where the front side walk of the store meets the store wall. This was symbolical to me. Instantly this made me think of how us humans, and our creations are killing nature. We are taking over so much land where animals used to roam and live with our many massive parking lots, stores, and much, MUCH, MUCH MORE. Think of all the cities there are on this planet (big and small) and how a lot of these cities have raped the land with these huge stores and parking lots. It's gross to find out that once a company is successfull, that the likelyhood of chains to pop up is quite high. So this to me means that, the more a company accumulates profit, the higher the chances of more of these stores will take over land, pushing nature to the corners of the planet. These stores could grow in size as well with the "success" they make at making money. So growing in number and in size. Not a good thing looking at this in a natural perspective. So more success contributes to more stores and parking lots reaping the land. Did I mean success or regress? We are taking over so much land and converting it to a concrete jungle where it seems we are the only animals living on it. The way things are going, it might just be the case. Shit seems more n more fake and un-natural by the fraction of a second it seems. The land being taken over with concrete, genetically modified foods, all these chemicals in products we use, fake people/attitudes, stealing of ideas. There's so much of this un-natural fakeness it has made me sicker n sicker over several years. So ya, back to the businesses. Don't forget, even the little stores are scaring nature's skin too. There's a lot of little stores out there. And a lot of the little, is a lot. Especially when there's plenty of little stores in every town, village, city, etc, etc. And there's a poopload of towns, villages, and cities on this planet. And I'm only using this personal experience I had this day, pointing the finger at stores taking away(destroying) the land and landscapes. There's much more human creation that is destroying the land. Stadiums, golf courses, airports, factories, shopping malls, naval bases, clearcutters, etc are other things too.

So back to the symbolical day. As I made my way home, I was waiting at a major traffic interesection. At one point I smelt a car's exhaust which stunk. Around the same moment I saw a car turning off the main boulevard with exhaust fumes taling the exhaust pipe. An ugly site and the scent was just as bad. Sure wasn't no pollutant free air there for my lungs. Once again, this was just another sign to me that man's creation is damaging nature. All these polluting cars driving on the regular on this main boulevard with not much nature in sight is horrid. Hey, and don't they say that trees help clean the air? Well, I'll tell you, I wasn't in the right place. Store here, store there, parking lot everywhere!!! Ide be lucky if I could spot a blade of green grass, nevermind a tree. SHIT. With all these harmfull man made creations taking over the land, there isn't much hope it seems to have clean air in sight. It's tragic. We're going down. Nature is making sure we are because of our ignorance and daily damage worldwide we do to it. It only makes sense. Nature don't take shit, nature get's revenge. I find that nature is like the passive, kind, non-violent person. The person's good qualities is like nature's great qualities. But then you pick on this nice person, steal from them, and use them for whatever, and they don't do much back if anything. But... every here n there, there's only so much that the person can take. And when they finally vent their anger, holy shit are you in for it for all that shit you caused before. Mother nature I find works in a similar manner. We insult her, use her, and steal from her, and there's only so much she can take before she throws an earthquake, ice storm, hurricane, forest fire, flooding, acid rain, mudslide, etc, spell your way. We need to be proactive. We need to better living conditions for all life that lives on our home(planet earth). That way living standards will improve, and so will our home/provider (planet earth) . An important thing my girlfriend mentioned, which is so true, is that we humans have to shake our bad habits of feeling hopeless in restoring a better place to live. We can make a difference, one person at a time. Be aware of the negative, but don't get consumed by it. Get proactive.

So back again to the story. So there's even STILL more signs that day of how humans are hurting the land and atmosphere. On my way home still, I am listening to music on my mp3 player. I was listening to the radio, and there was this band that was playing which is a band that speaks much about the politics of nature. I never got their name, but they play quite a bit on CHOM. I think the band might be Styx. In part of the song, they something like "there's trouble in the forests, there's trouble in the mountains". This was just another reminder to me that day how we are abusing and prostitutionalizing the land. Then yet another sign of man's creation polluting the air minutes later came to my attention. Mind you, you don't have to look/go far one i-ota to find an over abundance of man made creations that have the word association ,"danger to life" attached to them. The image I saw was interesting though, and I like the way I interpreted it. Check this out. I was on my way home still(yeah, still), and I was behind a public bus. As the bus accelerated after a stop sign, the exaust had shot out of its polluting pipe into the air. What was interesting in a sense was the timing of when the exaust had come out. Because where the bus had shot out it's exhaust, it was right were sunlight was passing through the small gaps of branches and leaves of trees in the surrounding area. This in effect made the smoke more visible in the sun's rays and seemed to make the exhaust linger in the air longer than usual. Interesting no? I could translate that in my own personal way as if to say nature is shedding light on what is threatening it and expecting us to take positive action for what we are responsible for. It's like the sun is saying " hey you there, you on the bike, and as many other people as well, look here. I'm shedding light on a problem you humans created so you can recognize it quicker to react quicker upon it because you don't seem to be noticing all that much". "And not only will I make the smoke be more visible in my light, but it my light will keep the smoke around a little longer so you people can see it". Also with the smoke lingering around in the sunlight, the sun is implying people to be aware of what harm they are doing to themselves and nature. The sun (nature) is trying to portray an image to us humans to get us to ask ourselves, what is wrong with this image. And then when we realize the problem, to get us hopefully to do something about it.

I would like to read about your symbolic situations involving humans harming nature. I like discussing about nature, and I like to see what people find symbolic about things, and how they use symbolism in their writing.

This is a symbolic personal story, which sheds light on how we are hurting nature, it's consequences, and inclining one to do what they can to stop damaging life. One person at a time.

This is me. Memory meltdown.

Life ain't easy is a common reality catch phrase. It's true. Well more accurately said, it's not always easy.

You know, I find memory failure is due to many things. I think that should go without saying. But I want to focus on pain, corruption, egos, money, war, lies and other bad things. I remember this lyric from a band I like. They mentioned in the song something around the lines of the only way to not know that life can be so lame and painful is to go insane. Now what do people do to forget the pain, boredom, and lameness of life? Think? Common now. What's a popular one? Drugs & alcohol did you think of? Well pat yourself on the back if you thought of it. Now now, don't feel down if it didn't cross your mind. It's not like it was a daily double question on Jeopoardy. Drugs & alcohol are what seems for the most part a temporary treatment to pain in life, If you use it soley or somewhat as a treatment to ignore and temporarily immune yourself from life's pains and struggles. What is permanent I feel though very unfortunately is the damage the drugs do to your system. Can't have the pleasure without the pain it seems. They seem to go hand in hand. Not always though. At least.

Ok, ok, so where does memory come into play? Well here's the thing. Depending on family genetics, parents habits before you were born, what substance abuse you've done, how frequent you've done them, in what doses, and when you started them can play a role on your memory success or failure amongst other things I may have missed. Now for some, people could easy come to terms with the realization of the depletion of their memory and are fine with it because of how in disaccord they find their life and life in general. A scary thing I remembered too was when I was doing an English exam in high school, I remembered something that struck me. Something was mentioned about you are what you remember. Now I for one at the time realized my memory wasn't so tough. I blamed it on the drugs & alcohol. I originally started using it not because of peer pressure, but from curiousity. I found that I liked the feeling of smoking dope and drinking beer. It was really for amusement purposes. Down the line, I realized to myself that I was "hooked". I relied on the stuff, and it took place of prior interests. Not the smartest move, but I did learn things from taking a new route on substance abuse avenue. Then I realized that I felt I needed the stuff not only for amusement purposes but to forget, but mainly to relieve myself of stress. Wanna know the irony here? Too bad, I'm gonna write you anyways. I thought quite some time ago, how it was strange that I felt I needed something for amusement purposes and to lower my stress levels and to be be more open. But on the same note, the same substance used to relieve me of stress and make me more open while on the drug, I felt like it increased my stress levels and made me more reserved in the long run. That's not a good thing. Specially if your hooked. It's good for a short period of time, but depletes your situation overall.

Despite all the sadness, corruption, disease, war, lies, pollution, natural disasters, crimes, etc, this world has to offer, I try to stay positive. Not always easy. Really. All the same, I don't feel I've fallen too deep in the pit of forgetfullness because of substance abuse. I am glad in a sense to be aware of the all the ugly sights and sounds in this world. It's a role for one to be thankfull for what one has. It's a role for one to outreach a helping hand and feel that their soul has been eternally soothed once help has been sent and progression has been felt. You help them, and that helps you. Makes sense, no?

Always remember, think positive despite all the overwhelming negative, and carry out as many good deeds as you can. You might just remember more. The good and the bad. :-] :-[

Human Energy

I've had an interesting old thought. This thought is about human beings, energy, and it's effects on other human beings. I always felt that since we have power in us to think, talk, move, etc, etc, that we are like a wire carrying current. A wire that carries current has a magnetic field around it. Science aside, and I could be off here, but the magnetic field is for me a sign that energy is present. Magnetic fields can interact with other things to get reactions. Science now back in the picuture, like the magnetic fields of the magnets of an electonic motor that reacts with the copper wire wound up inside the motor that carries current and itself has a magnetic field. What happens when both have energy at close proximity? The motor spins. Or say the magnetic field of the magnet in a speaker and the wiring in the speaker near the magnets react with eachother to help in a stage to make a speaker do what it does. Well... we humans I find wear off on eachother in a similar principle. Someone too close to you can make you uncomfortable and make you want to back away, or get them to do so. Or being close can be good as well if there is proper chemistry between the two. Do you think that how one reacts is soley related to how things as how someone talks, acts, and looks at you? Maybe to add as well, how they are dressed or their body size? I think so, but I don't think it ends there. What about the proximity of two beings having something to do with an effect on someone else and how it may play on how they act and feel?

Do it for you.

"Keep it real" is a term that's been around for a while. Mind you, for some, "keeping it real" is something that is more of a struggle than others depending on the circumstances & personality involved. Maybe others factors too that I haven't taken much time to think of. I really think off the bat that both circumstance and personality of an idviudual are key factors relating to how much of a struggle it is for one to "keep it real". And when I write keep it real, I mean universaly. Meaning with one's self and others. I am one that stands firmly alongside the truth. I can feel shaken somewhat in certain circumstances, but always strive in the long run that I "keep it real". It's good for my mind & soul. What would possibly be a threat to you and your integrity towards honesty? You know,... Keeping it real. Honesty and believing strongly are pretty tough foundations. I think acceptance is a key word to use that would be a potential threat to keeping it real. Hmmmmmmm. I wonder what else. Lazyness would be another threat. Someone just not knowing enough about something or someone, feeling lazy and not willing to know more just faking on agreeing about facts or opinions.

Keeping it real in the ultimate sense is being true to yourself which is healthy and consists of not being close minded to what's going on around you and to accept it, and maybe change your ways of thinking and/or acting if you know what you are witnessing is right and ready to change to accept it. I think it would still be considered being real.

If you stay real, you are pure. Isn't it great for people to know who you REALLY are, and how you act and think including foremost yourself? What a reward. Don't fake shit people. It's corrupted, and corruptedness is bad. Right? Right.
